My name is Elizabeth Panetta (they/she) and I am a mental health professional, educator, and clinical supervisor with over nine years of experience. Within my own clinical and research practices, I prioritize lenses based in disability justice, decolonization, harm reduction, sex positivity, and antiracism. As a queer, biracial, and non-binary person, I am firmly rooted in holistic and person-centered care that recognizes the impact of systems upon the individual.

I currently practice through Grander Peace Counseling.I specialize in working with gender-diverse people who have experienced trauma and who need extra support during times of change and adjustment. I have extensive experience working with people from diverse backgrounds, ranging from people who are currently unhoused to recent immigrants and refugees. I am also certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

I am trained in several shorter-term therapeutic evidence-based interventions such as letters of support and preparation for gender-affirming medical interventions, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Inference-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Together we can tailor sessions to best support you.
Clinical Supervision and Consultation

I am a board-approved clinical supervisor for those pursuing LICSW and LPCC licensure within the state of Minnesota. I also provide consultation on a variety of topics such as crisis intervention, de-escalation, trauma-focused care, ethical person-centered documentation, and gender-affirming care.
Community-Focused Education and research
Centering all voices through experiential learning
In my career, I’ve taught social workers, medical students, and postdoctoral candidates. In August 2026, I will be joining Augsburg University as a faculty member and field placement director for both BSW and MSW-earning students. I’ve also been involved in multiple research projects focused on gender-affirming care. I love building and strengthening relationships with other community-based organizations through research and education to ensure high quality wraparound care.
